"Folders for Gemini" (the "Extension") is a productivity tool designed to help users organize their Google Gemini chat history. We believe in a "Zero Trust" architecture, meaning your privacy is our absolute priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your data.

1Data Collection and Usage

To provide its core functionality, the Extension interacts with the following data:

• Website Content & Personal Communications: The Extension reads the Document Object Model (DOM) of the gemini.google.com website solely to identify your chat titles and IDs so they can be visually organized into folders.

Crucial Distinction: The Extension processes this data locally on your machine in real-time. We do NOT collect, transmit, or record any of your conversations or prompts.

2Data Storage (Local & Sync)

• Local Storage: Your custom folder structure and the mapping of which chat belongs to which folder are saved directly to your browser's local storage (chrome.storage).
• Chrome Sync:If you are signed into Google Chrome with Sync enabled, Chrome will securely sync this folder structure across your devices. This synchronization is handled entirely by Google's native infrastructure, not by our Extension.

3No External Servers or Third-Party Sharing

We do not own, operate, or rent any external databases or servers.

• We do not transmit your data to any external APIs.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising, credit profiling, or any other unrelated purposes.

4Your Rights and Data Control

Because all data is stored locally in your browser, you have complete control over it. You can delete all data associated with the Extension at any time by simply uninstalling the Extension or clearing your browser's local storage.
